About
The Templeton ‘Taipans’ Cricket Club was founded in 1983 by a group of local residents, initially fielding two senior and two junior teams. Over the years, the club has steadily grown to become one of the largest and most successful clubs in the Ringwood District Cricket Association.
As a well-established and thriving club, we take pride in our professional, community-oriented approach. Our commitment extends beyond the boundary ropes, as we actively serve our local community. Moreover, we provide a pathway for our talented home-grown juniors to progress to the senior ranks.
In 2023, the club received the prestigious ‘Club of the Year’ award in the Knox Council Sports & Leisure Awards. Currently, the Taipans field six senior teams and fourteen junior teams, including four female teams. Additionally, our region benefits from one of the largest Cricket Australia Blaster programs.
We believe in the positive impact of team sports, fostering a sense of community and contributing to the wellbeing and development of young individuals.
We’re proud to have earned our Good Sports accreditation. We’re helping our members to feel welcome and stay safe @GoodSportsClubs
TCC is active within our local community. A highlight of our season is our annual ladies day in which we raise funds to support the Breast Cancer Network.
